Dean’s Career
Dean started his career working for Les Thatcher at the Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) as a teenager. He began his with the ring name Jon Moxley and teamed up with Jimmy Turner as Necessary Roughness. Defeating team of Extreme Desire (Mike Desire and Tack), they won the HWA Tag Team Championship. There was no stopping Jon from then and won the ‘HWA Heavyweight Championship’ three times. After Moxley's successful defended Aaron Williams at IPW World Heavyweight Championship, Jimmy Jacobs attacked Moxley causing the locker room to come out and separate them both. Moxley defeated Jacobs to successfully retain the IPW World Heavyweight Championship on IPW 9th Anniversary, Moxley defeated Drake Younger in a Three Stages of Insanity match to successfully retain the IPW World Heavyweight Championship. Moxley lost the IPW World Heavyweight Championship to Jimmy Jacobs in a dog collar match on January 1, 2011, at Showdown in Naptown. Dean signed a developmental deal with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and Dragon Gate USA on 4th April 2011. He has owned several titles which include World Heavyweight Champion, WWE United States Champion, and Intercontinental Champion twice. He also played the main role of John Shaw in the 2015 action film ’12 Rounds 3: Lockdown. He did a cameo in the 2016 action film ‘Countdown’.
