In one of the interview back in 2010, Gloria openly talked about how her relationship with Matt started. She shared the information regarding the beginning of her relationship with Matt. The couple first met in the 8th grade and did not begin dating until 2006 when he was busy with Golden State Warriors.

The pair tied the knot in the year 2012 but later separated in mid-October 2014.  Though the two have separated in 2012, their divorce was finalized on December 21, 2016.

2. Matt and Gloria Welcomed twin boys

After dating for a couple of years, the couple welcomed their children even before they tied the knot. Govan gave birth to twin boys on November 6, 2008. The pair named the boys as Carter Kelly Barnes and Isaiah Michael Barnes.

While speaking of Matt and Gloria's children, Matt's long list of fines from the NBA took all off the money that was supposed to go to their children.

3. Gloria and Derek Fisher's Relationship is the reason behind her separation from Matt

Fisher who filed for divorce from 10 years wife Candace was in a romantic relationship with Matt Barnes' ex-wife, Gloria Govan for a few months during Gloria and Matt's separation.

After Matt found out his ex-wife' relationship, he drove 95 miles to confront his former Los Angeles Lakers teammate. After Fisher separated from his wife Candace, he was reportedly dating Matt Barnes' ex-wife Gloria Govan.

After Matt and Gloria separated and ended their relationship, Matt did not hold his words towards Gloria. In one the interview, when Matt was asked about how tough it was to concentrate on the NBA and to deal with the breakup, he replied:
