Walton has been blessed with supportive younger brother Jim Walton and Younger Sister, Alice Walton. While he lost his second younger brother John Walton in a plane crash in 2005. Samuel went to The College of Wooster and graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1966. He has the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and was the active member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Furthermore, he received his Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University School of Law in the year 1969.
