Early Career

Known by her nickname “Trouble”, Valerie made her MMA debut on March 31, 2007, against Tannaya Hantelman. She won the very first bout via TKO. Letourneau then faced two consecutive defeats against future UFC Women Bantamweight's Sarah Kaufman and Alexis Davis. Valerie broke her hand in the first round fighting Alexis. However, she roared back and won her next three fights. She then lost against future UFC Women’s Strawweight Claudia Gadelha. via split decision. Later, she won against Jordan Moore at AFC 21 via TKO in just 34 seconds. In 2013, Letourneau lost against Roxanne Modafferi at The Ultimate Fighter at TUF 18 season via rear-naked choke.

Letourneau made a sensational debut against Elizabeth Philips at UFC 174 in June 2014. She won the bout via split decision. She then won against fellow Canadian Jessica Rakoczy via unanimous decision at UFC 186 octagon. Later, Valerie won against undefeated Maryna Moroz via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 74 on August 23, 2015. However, she lost her next three matches, first against Strawweight champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk via unanimous decision at UFC 193 on 15 November 2015.
