Born on 1961, March 28 in Ogden, Utah, the player grew up in Inglewood, California. Scott grew up playing basketball at Morningside High School which was the home arena of the famous Laker’s The Forum. Before going pro, he was magnificent for three years at Arizona State University. Being selected as draft#4 by San Diego Clippers in the year 1983 NBA Draft, he gains huge attention after his marvelous performance in Lakers from 1983 to 1993. The charm moving to Indiana Pacers from 1993 to 1995, also played for Vancouver Grizzlies from 1995 to 1996. Coming back to Lakers from 1996 to 1997, he engaged himself in Panathinaikos in Greece from 1997 to 1998. Retiring after then, he has won three NBA championship with the Lakers and has been honored with NBA All-Rookie First Team in 1984. Scott started his coaching career from Sacramento Kings and joined the team as assistant coach in 1998. Making wonders until the year 2000 in Kings, he was hired by New Jersey Nets as the head coach. The successful head coach serves the team till the year 2004 and moved to New Orleans Hornets till the year 2009. Furthermore, he serves Cleveland Cavaliers from 2010 to 2013 and came big when he was hired by the Lakers. The coach literally breaks the internet when he was selected for Los Angeles Lakers in 2014.
