Grace Martine Tandon popularly known by the name Daya, is a promising American singer, songwriter and ace instrumentalist whose estimated net worth is $ 4 million.

Her song “Hide Away” first self-titled extended play (EP), ‘Daya’, peaked at number 23 on Billboard Hot 100 and took off her singing career. Following her success of her first self-titled EP and effective alliance with ‘The Chainsmokers’, she released her next song “Don’t Let Me Down”. She was embarked on a countrywide music tour. On October 7, 2016, she released her debut studio album Sit Still, Look Pretty. This song hits Billboard with a view of more than 2 million. Daya’s Early Life and Music Career

Born on 24th October 1998, Daya demonstrated her latent music composition skills when she started learning to play various instruments including classical piano, flute, ukulele, saxophone and piano, switching to jazz piano at the age of eleven, from the age of 3. She mastered playing these entire musical instruments by the age of 10. Daya enrolled as a student at the Accelerando Music at age eleven. She met Gino Barletta, songwriter, and producer of Chirumbolo, who visited the school as a lecturer. In February 2015, Chirumbolo and Barletta founded INSIDE ACCESS, a music camp, the two worked with Daya. She was eventually invited to Los Angeles in February 2015 to work on Chirumbolo and Barletta original material.

Daya’s singing boosts up when she shifts to Los Angeles to work with Christina Chirumbolo and Gino Barletta, founders of INSIDE ACCESS by Accelerando. She also attended Paramount Recording studios. She has collaborated with the likes of Noisecastle III, Britten Newbill, and Brett McLaughlin. It was during one of these writing sessions that her debut single "Hide Away" when Daya was introduced to Z Entertainment’s Steve Zap who played a key role in promoting her by Barletta. Daya, who was just 17 at the time, she didn't think anything would happen for a while and went back to high school the next day.  Zap liked the song and was interested in helping to promote the singer. He founded his own recording label ‘Artbeatz’ in partnership with Barletta.

Finally, Daya released her song "Hide Away" on April 22, 2015. The song received a good reception, especially online. It received support from a number of notable bloggers including Perez Hilton and Tyler Oakley. Billboard’s Jason Lipshutz featured the single on their official website and branded the song ‘a gorgeous act’. On August 21, 2015, Daya made her television debut performing "Hide Away" on ‘Today with Kathie Lee and Hoda’. Daya released her self-titled EP, Daya, which consisted of 6 tracks including "Hide Away". Daya released the physical version of her debut EP through Target in October 2015.  In February 2016, she partnered with ‘The Chainsmokers’ and sang “Don’t Let Me Down”, which eventually peaked at number 3 on the Hot 100. She also released the second single from her self-titled EP, Sit Still, Look Pretty opened at the 100th position but eventually went on to finish at number 28. She was also invited to the White House in 2016 to perform at the Easter Egg Roll, where she and her family met President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle Obama. Daya released her third single from her debut album Sit Still, Look Pretty “Words” on November 15, 2016. On December 6, 2016, her song “Don’t Let Me Down” was nominated for Grammy and won the award for ‘Best Dance Recording’ on 12 February 2017.
