Pedro Henrique Lopes Munoz made his promotional debut in the giant UFC at UFC 170 as the short notice replacement of the injured Francisco Rivera. Unfortunately, he lost his debut match against Raphael Assuncao via unanimous decision. However, he proved his worth at the Ultimate Fighter Brazil 3 Finale winning against promotional newcomer Matt Hobar via first round TKO. The Punisher gained huge media coverage when he defeated Jerrod Sanders at UFC Fight Night 54 on October 4, 2014. He won the fight via submission in the very first round. However, NSBA later dragged him in a drug controversy.  for the elevated levels of testosterone. Consequently, he admitted using the two supplements allowed by UFC itself. But unfortunately, the commission banned him for one year (retroactive suspension) and declared the result of the match as no-contest. Coming back hard, he acted fearlessly against Jimmie Rivera at UFC Fight Night 77. Despite his several magnificent moves, he lost the bout via split decision. Later, he won the Performance of the Night bonus against Russell Doane. Facing Russell at UFC Fight Night 90 on July 7, 2016, he finished the brutal match via submission in the very first round. In November 2016, he gained his second Performance of the Night bonus against Justin Scoggins. And on November 19, 2016, he defeated Justin Scoggins via submission at UFC Fight Night 100.

Prior to UFC

Before gaining the nickname The Young Punisher, Pedro Munhoz started his career through local promotions in his native Sao Paulo, Brazil. He turned pro in 2009. In 2011,  he flew to the USA  to compete in several regional promotions. The Punisher eventually won the Resurrection Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Champion against Jeff Curran. Prior to the title, he remained undefeated in several regional promotions.
