The Career of Megan Rapinoe-

Megan Rapinoe played for Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) from 2009 to 2011, initially drafted by the Chicago Red Stars. She played as a starter for most games, scoring two goals and assisting three in the inaugural 2009 season. She was also named to the All-Star Team and played in the All-Star Game. Moving to the Philadelphia Independence in 2010, she scored one goal before joining MagicJack in 2011. With MagicJack, she scored two goals in eight regular season games, helping the team reach the playoffs. During her time in WPS, Rapinoe also played for Sydney FC in Australia's W-League and briefly for the Seattle Sounders Women in 2012.

From 2013 to 2014, Rapinoe joined Olympique Lyonnais in France, scoring goals and making significant contributions in the UEFA Women's Champions League. Rapinoe then returned to the U.S. to play for Seattle Reign in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) from 2013 to 2023. She made a strong impact on the team's performance, helping them improve and earn several titles. Notably, she was instrumental in the Reign's turnaround in 2013, leading the team in scoring despite playing only half of the season. In 2014, despite an injury, she played a pivotal role as the Reign secured the regular-season title. They reached the championship final but were defeated.
