Chris Sacca is a formal American venture investor, entrepreneur and company advisor as well as a former lawyer worth of almost $ 1.21 billion. Chris is the proprietor of Lowercase Capital, a venture capital fund in the United States that has invested in seed and early-stage technology companies such as Twitter, Uber, Instagram, Twilio, and Kickstarter. As of 2017, Sacca became a regular guest on popular small business pitch show "Shark Tank," doubling his episode count to go toe to toe. Sacca has recently invested more funds run by women and people of color.

Chris Sacca’s Early Life and Education

Sacca was born on May 12, 1975. He was raised in Lockport, New York. His father worked as an attorney, and his mother worked was a professor at SUNY Buffalo State and author in the field of education. He has younger brother Brian Sacca who is actor/comedian. Sacca attended Lockport High School in Lockport, New York. He studied advanced mathematics at the State University of New York at Buffalo for six years. He has stated that by 11th grade he was "burned out" and pursued a college degree where there would be "no math". He graduated in 1997 with honors. Sacca attended Georgetown University Law Center. He was also a member of the Tax Lawyer law. He says he managed to graduate without attending class. He managed to turn 10–20 thousand dollars into 12 million dollars by Leveraging trades for significant amounts (discovering a flaw in the software of online trading brokers). When the market crashed, Sacca found himself under loan of four million dollars. He negotiated to have it reduced to just under 3 Million and it was completely repaid by February 2005.

Chris Sacca’s Career

Sacca began his career as an associate at Fenwick and West in Silicon Valley. He was laid off after approximately 13 months. He landed at Speedera Group for networking purposes and later joined Google in November 2003. He was hired at Google as Corporate Counsel reporting to General Counsel David Drummond. He was among the first employees, who were given the Founders’ Award. He served as Head of Special Initiatives at Google Inc. Sacca also led for many business developments and merges. He left Google in December 2007 when he confers opportunities to work at small companies. Sacca first invested in Photobucket, which was later sold to Fox's parent company News Corp. Twitter was his second investment in which he invested $25,000. Sacca started to appear as a guest shark on ABC's reality television show in Season 7, Episode 14. He reappeared as a guest shark on Episode 136 (Week 14), He is the richest Shark on the Shark Tank till date and invested in HatchBaby, Bee Free Hone-e, Rent Like a Champion, and Bright-wheel. Sacca continued to appear as a guest shark in season 10. He made a deal with 10-year-old Jack Bonneau who created lemonade stand business to help other kids start their own businesses. On December 11, 2016, Sacca invested $250,000 for 10% equity with Nomiku for their high-tech sous vide cooking device. On 2017 in Episode 165, Sacca invested $250,000 (as a convertible note) with "Popup Play", an on-demand manufacturing system where kids can build cardboard play forts and castles within an app. In Episode 168, Sacca and Shark Lori Greiner invested $600,000 for 5% of ToyMail. Sacca also worked for Barak Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign as a Telecommunication, Media; following Obama's victory. Obama's victory was fruitful to Sacca, he was served as co-chair of finance for the Presidential Inaugural Committee. He was also served as a member of the campaign's National Finance Committee member and as co-chair of the "Tech for Obama" group after Obama’s successful 2012 reelection campaign. During the 2016 U.S. Presidential election, Sacca was a vocal supporter of Democratic Nominee Hillary Clinton.
