To talk about the main theme, Game of Thrones goes by its name as the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros and the continent of Essos fight for the Iron Throne.

The more of a seven-season being the threat of White Walkers and the power of dragons with Daenerys, also the Mother of Dragons, the powerful threat got destroyed by Arya Stark with an easy move.

Not only that, the eight seasons of the series provides the tragic demise of Daenerys, the Mad Queen who gets stabbed by Jon Snow. Taking the series to an end, Bran Stark become the King of the Six Kingdoms whereas Sansa is the Queen in the North.
