Then after leaving Cleveland Cavaliers, he joined Charlotte Hornets in 1988 in which his income was $285,000. He continued playing from the Charlotte Hornets till 1997 in which he increased his earning rapidly. His income from the Charlotte Hornets in 1997 was $3.6 million which is huge.

The Texas Rangers selected Mr.Curry from the High School in the MLB Draft from which Dell began appearing in the 1983 and 1984 NIT Tournaments where he acquired the 3rd position in 19984. Then his team was qualified for the at-last bids to the NCAA Tournament in 1985 and 1986 but lost the first round on both occasions.

Then Baltimore Orioles chose Mr.Curry after his junior year at Virginia Tech. He played both basketball and baseball at Virginia Tech in which he was selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 14th round of the 1985 MLB Draft. Mr. Curry finished his Virginia Tech career with 2389 points and 295 steals becoming a second all-time and all-time leader respectively in basketball.

Mr.Curry was then selected as the 15th pick by the Utah Jazz in the 1986 NBA Draft in which he played for one season in Utah. Then he went on to play for Cleveland Cavaliers in 1987 in which he was selected by one of the NBA’s two newest teams for the 1988-1989 season, the Charlotte Hornets.

Mr.Curry played ten seasons for Hornets and then he went to play a season for Milwaukee Bucks. Then he played his final season in the NBA for the Toronto Raptors in which he finished with 11.7 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists on average.

On  July 18, 2007, Mr.Curry was assigned as the assistant coach of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats in which he started working as a color commentator for Charlotte Bobcats.

Mr.Curry was born on June 25, 1964, in Harrisonburg, Virginia, the United States where he spent his childhood. He attended the Fort Defiance High School located in Fort Defiance, Virginia where he won a state championship in both basketball and baseball. Then he joined Virginia Tech where he became the all-time leader point’s score with 1922. In 1982, he became McDonald’s High School All-American.

Mr.Curry lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, with his Sonya Adams, who played volleyball at Virginia Tech. They have three children, i.e. two sons and one daughter, His older son is Stephen Curry who plays in the NBA for the Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry won the NBA MVP award and led the Warriors to the NBA championship in 2014-2015. Stephen Curry led his team to the highest regular-season win total in NBA history with 73 wins in 2015-2016 in which he was award as league MVP.

Mr.Curry has two grandchildren, Riley and Ryan Curry who are the children of Stephen and his wife Ayesha. Mr.Curry’s son and daughter both are players like a father. His younger son, Seth Curry currently plays for Dallas Mavericks while his daughter, Sydel plays volleyball at Elon University. Mr.Curry established a charitable foundation, the Dell Curry Foundation in 1998 which is a youth-oriented program in Charlotte, North Carolina which runs five learning centers in Charlotte to provide educational training and drug abuse counseling.
