After working as a diving instructor and working as a writer, Besson wrote the sci-fi film, The Fifth Element in 1997 which starred Bruce Willis. He also worked with the screenwriter, Robert Mark Kamen at a very early age.
A year later in 1998, Besson wrote the film, Taxi which he produced. Then, in 2000, he came up with the sequel, Taxi 2, and Taxi 3 in 2003.
In 2002, Besson wrote and produced the film, The Transporter, and Transporter 2 in 2005, Transporter 3 in 2008 in which Jason Statham starred as a lead actor. He is also the producer and screenwriter of the film series, Taken which starred Liam Nesson.

Luc Besson's Early Life
Born on March 18, 1959, in Paris, France, Luc Besson was the son of Claude Besson and Daniele Plane. He was entirely aquatic as he spent his time with his parents and worked as scuba diving instructors.
Besson wanted to pursue his career in marine biologist specializing in dolphins but an accident at the age of 17 caused him not to dive any longer. Failing to continue his interests and passion, Besson thought that film would be a great medium to show his passion.
