Michael Bloomberg was born on February 14, 1942, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, in the Brighton. His father’s name William Henry Bloomberg who worked as an accountant for a dairy company and his mother’s name is Charlotte Bloomberg.

His maternal grandfather’s name is Max Rubens who was an immigrant from present-day Belarus, east of the Iron Curtain.
