Sterling is best known for winning and defending Bantamweight title in Cage Fury Fighting Championship. Antoine is also a two-time NCAA Division III. All-American champion. He is currently ranked #8 in the official UFC Bantamweight rankings. His current professional record is 12 wins out of 13 matches - 2 by knockout, 6 by submission and 4 by decision.

Early Career

Aljamain and former UFC lightweight champion, Jon Jones attended the school at Morrisville State College. Jon's interest in MMA lit up interest in Aljamin as well. They later trained on the same wrestling team as well. Sterling first started to fight in Ithaca, N.Y. for Team BombSquad. His college wrestling career record at SUNY-Cortland was 87 wins out of 114 matches.  The Funk Master began his amateur career in 2009. Prior to turning pro, he earned a successful record of 6 wins out of 7 matches, also earning  Wolf Amateur Bantamweight Championship and Extreme FC amateur Featherweight Championship. Antoine started his professional career winning both of the first two matches. He then defeated Claudio Ledesma via split decision and captured the ROC Bantamweight Championship. Later, he debuted at Cage Fury Fighting Championship against Evan Chmieleski. He won the match via TKO with just two seconds left in the first round. The win then landed him a title shot against Sean Santella.  He ultimately won his first professional title after defeating Sean via unanimous decision. Before heading towards UFC, he successfully defended his title for three times. Antoine won all of the three matches via rear-naked choke.

Ultimate Fighting Championship

Making his UFC debut against newcomer Cody Gibson at UFC 170 in February 2014, Sterling gained his first success via unanimous decision against Lucas Martins. He faced Hugo Viana for his second fight. The New York-born fighter won the match at the end of the third round when the referee ended the match after Sterling landed a barrage of punches from the mount position. Later, he was supposed to face Mitch Gagnon at UFC Fight Night: MacDonald vs. Saffiedine on October 4, 2014. Unfortunately, Aljamain had to pull out of the match because of a hand injury. He was replaced by Rob Font. Sterling then won against Takeya Mizugaki at UFC on Fox 15 in April 205.  After winning the fight against Johnny Eduardo at UFC Fight Night 80 in December 2015, He witnessed his first UFC defeat against Bryan Caraway. Aljamain lost the match via split decision. Antonie is currently training for his fight against Raphael Assunção on January 28, 2017, at UFC on Fox 23.
