Childish Gambino is the stage name of actor and rapper Donald Glover. He was born September 25, 1983, at Edwards Air Force Base, California and raised in Georgia. He graduated from New York University's School of the Arts in 2006. And he was hired as a writer for the TV show “30 Rock” in which also appeared as an actor.

Glover is best known for his role as Troy Barnes on the series of sitcom 'Community'. He first used the Childish Gambino name for his stage name in a self-released album entitled 'Sick Boi' in 2008. Glover was signed (as Childish Gambino) to the Glassnote Record label in 2011, after releasing several independent albums and mix-tapes. In November of 2011,  he released his first Glassnote album 'Camp' and has sold more than 240,000 copies. Another album 'Because the Internet' followed in late December 2013, which sold 377,000 copies to date.

Gambino was nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2014, Best Rap Album for 'Because the Internet' and Best Rap Performance for the single '3005.' Gambino's 'Camp' album earned roughly $250,000 sold, in 2011, and his album 'Because the Internet' brought in $330,000 in 2013, which is the latest figures available. Donald’s Next Projects:

Donald’s newest project is to develop and produce a Deadpool animated series.  The series had got approved by the board of films for a 10 episode start and it will be classified as an action-comedy. In 2010 he began his relationship with Marvel. When a social media campaign emerged it suggested Glover as to play Spider-man on the big screen. The initial campaign didn’t quite get him the movie deal,  in spite, he did get the lead role on the small screen as the voice of Miles Morales as a Spiderman from an alternative reality, which is telecast in Disney XD’s animated series of “Ultimate Spider-Man”.It is sure that experience with a Marvel animated series will boost Glover’s talent and add to the quality and flair of the new Deadpool series.  Look for the Deadpool series to air in 2018.
