On August 27, 1994, Malenko joined Eastern Championship Wrestling and started his tournament as a professional wrestling. In early 1995, he formed a group "Triple Threat" with Shane Douglas and Chris Benoit.

Malenko joined World Championship Wrestling in September 1995 with Benoit. He came into the headlines as "The Iceman". He teamed with Saturn but sadly disappeared from the television as WCW/ECW Invasion storyline.

Malenko wrestled for the third last time at the 4th Annual Brian Pillman Memorial Show in 2001. On November 13, 2005, his close friend Eddie Guerrero died and he made a special appearance on November 14 alongside Chris Benoit.

He appeared after the match between Triple H and Chris Benoit. In 2006 Royal Rumble, he showed up to congratulate Rey Mysterio. He even appeared in the backstage segment watching Chavo Guerrero at Vengeance 2007.
