Kenyon started playing basketball while at the college. He played four years of college basketball. He received several awards playing college basketball.

In the 2000 NBA Draft, Martin was selected by the New Jersey Nets. He played four seasons with the Nets and had the highest points per game of 16.7 on the 2002-03 season.
