At the age of 25, he became Wizard’s full-share deckhand. In 1990, he was able to qualify for his U.S. Coast Guard license and two years later, he had his certified masters Captain license.

His fishing career began after purchasing fishing vehicle Wizard which was a huge risk, since that was back built in World War II, by the United States Navy in 1945. Still, He put his all effort to freshly painted & maintained it well after purchasing. Due to his skills & determination, Keith was approached by Discovery TV Network as the Skilled Capitan & expert of the show working along with Sig Hansen, Jonathan Hillstrand & Elliott Neese. The show deals with catching deadliest sea creatures including Alaskan King Crabs, Snow Crab & Bairdi Crab, the show is packed with full of adventure & excitement dealing with lots of caution.
