The Career of Matt Henry-
Henry made his international debut on 31 January 2014, playing in the fifth ODI against India. His Twenty20 International debut for New Zealand occurred on 4 December 2014, in a match against Pakistan. Although initially not included in the final squad of 15 for the 2015 Cricket World Cup, Henry was called up as a replacement for Adam Milne in the semi-final game against South Africa at Eden Park. While he didn't take any wickets in that match, he showcased impressive speed and claimed two wickets, dismissing David Warner and Michael Clarke, in the final against Australia at Melbourne. Additionally, Henry and Jimmy Neesham set a record for the highest 9th wicket partnership for New Zealand in ODIs, achieving an 84-run partnership against India in 2016. Henry's Test debut for New Zealand took place during the tour against England in May 2015.
In May 2018, he was among the twenty players awarded a new contract for the 2018-19 season by New Zealand Cricket. In the year 2019, Matt was also included in New Zealand's squad for the 2019 Cricket World Cup. On 3 July 2019, during the match against England, Henry celebrated his 50th ODI appearance. He played a crucial role in the first semi-final, where New Zealand defeated India by 18 runs. Henry's remarkable performance included three wickets for 37 runs, earning him the player of the match title.
