Adrian’s Early Life and Career

Adrian Chiles was born on March 21, 1967, in Birmingham to an English father and Croatian mother. When Adrian aged four, they all moved a few miles away to Hagley, Worcestershire. He attended his high school at Haybridge High School and then worked in his father's scaffolding business. He graduated with a degree in English literature from the University of London.

Before attending University, Adrian was a keen amateur actor. After university, he applied for and failed both Civil Service exams. Before being asked to apply for MI5 - he failed the second interview. He studied journalism at Cardiff and then worked as a sports reporter for the News of the World. Chiles joined BBC originally for work experience on Business Breakfast. He was experienced from Financial World Tonight led to him fronting the BBC Two business show Working Lunch, where he came to popular notice. Since he has created, scripted and fronted a variety of other programs for the BBC which also includes BBC Two the 2003 series So What Do You Do All Day? He created and fronted Royal Millions, as well as reports for Panorama and various documentaries for BBC One. Chiles presented the popular UK television show called Apprentice: You’re Fired! In which he interviews the latest candidate to be fired. Chiles co-presented a pilot of a new BBC One early-evening magazine program, The One Show from 2006 till 2010. He was also a guest host of BBC One’s satirical news quiz, Have I Got News for You in August 2006. Chiles left the BBC in 2009. Chiles returned to the BBC in January 2016. He overlooked a 2-part religion/travel series called My Mediterranean for BBC Two. He fronted one of the documentary Whites v Blacks: How Football Changed a Nation for BBC Two. He was the main presenter of the BBC's Euro 2008 coverage. He also anchored the morning 2008 Olympics coverage from Beijing. After Evans was confirmed as the new Friday presenter, Chiles left the BBC and made a four-year contract with ITV and fronted ITV's football coverage. He debuts presenting the England v Mexico friendly at Wembley for ITV. He made his first appearance on Daybreak, ITV's new breakfast television program in September 2010. Chiles was axed from the show was replaced by Dan Lobb, since the show failed to capture a larger market share than its competitor Breakfast. He started presenting That Sunday Night Show on ITV. His contract with ITV came to an end on 20 April 2014. However, he signed a new contract to host ITV's football coverage. By 23 January 2015, it was announced that Chiles had left his role as ITV's football host and not returned yet.

Adrian’s Personal Life

Chiles wedded Jane Garvey, in September 1998. Jane Garvey is a regular presenter of Woman's Hour on Radio 4. They have two daughters. But October 2009, they divorced.

Chiles is a well-known supporter of West Bromwich Albion Football Club. On some of the club's official DVDs, Adrian is a season-ticket holder and presenter. his both cars have WBA in their registration and he has a stained glass West Bromwich Albion crest above his door. Chiles plays the double bass.
