Jerome Flynn has starred in numerous blockbuster movies and popular TV series in his acting career. He appeared as firefighter Kenny “Rambo” Baines in the 1986 television film London’s Burning. In the same year, he also played a minor role in The Monocled Mutineer as the soldier Franny. In the year 1988, he appeared as character Freddie in the ITV drama, The Fear. He also performed for six episodes as D.S Eddie Hargreaves in the drama Between The Lines from 1992 to 1994.
He performed as Corporal Paddy Garvey alongside Robson Green in the series Soldier Soldier which began in 1991 and ended in 1997. Flynn and Green performed Unchained Melody in the series which they recorded and released as a single, a double A-side with White Cliffs of Dover, as they were persuaded by record producer Simon Cowell. The single released under the name Robson & Jerome reached number one in the UK chart in 1995. More than 1.9 million copies of the singles are sold and it stayed at number 1 for 7 weeks in the UK Singles Chart, making it the best-selling single of the year. The duo won the Music Week Awards for best single and best album in 1996. The duo had two more hits with I Believe and What Becomes of the Brokenhearted in 1995 and 1996 and they also produced two number-one albums.
In 1997 he performed as Eddie Walls in the comedy-drama Ain’t Misbehavin’ and was the star of the short-lived police show Badger in 1999. He portrayed Bobby Charlton, a real-life soccer player in the 1999 film Best. He also directed the movie Rude Tales in 2007. After almost 10 years break in his acting career, he appeared as Bronn in the blockbuster HBO TV series Game of Thrones in 2010.
